Parking at Copenhagen Airport: Car Parks, Walking Distances, and Where It's Cheapest

The short answer

The cheapest parking at Copenhagen Airport (CPH) is the Budget car parks P15, P17, and P19, pre-booked online. They sit 1.5-2 km from the terminals with a free shuttle bus (5-7 minutes). If you want to walk straight in, Direct (P4, P6, P7B, P8) is the most expensive product, a 1-4 minute walk from Terminals 2 and 3.

Two things decide most of the price: pre-book online instead of paying the drive-up rate at the barrier, and trade walking distance for money. And if you travel in a holiday period, check availability before you drive. In the summer holidays, online parking can sell out completely.

CPH prices parking dynamically, so the amounts move with date, season and occupancy. That is why this guide quotes no figures: the current price exists in one place only, and that is the airport's own site.

The car parks at Copenhagen Airport: full overview

The airport's own parking is split into four products. The price tracks walking distance to the terminal:

Product Car parks Distance to terminal Price level
Direct P4, P6, P7B, P8 1-4 min walk Most expensive
Standard+ P3, P5, P9, P10 3-10 min walk Second most expensive
Standard P1, P11, P12 5-15 min walk Second cheapest
Budget P15, P17, P19 1.5-2 km, free shuttle bus (5-7 min) Cheapest

There is also a Weekend product (parking Thursday-Monday, which must include a Saturday or Sunday) in car parks within walking distance of the terminals.

The order between the products is fixed: the closer to the terminal, the more you pay. The amounts are not, so check the current price at Copenhagen Airport before booking.

Which car park should you choose?

  • Weekend trip: the Weekend product, if your trip falls Thursday-Monday. Otherwise Standard.
  • A holiday of a week or more: Budget (P15/P17/P19). The shuttle takes 5-7 minutes; add 15 minutes to your arrival plan. Note: booking Budget online typically requires a minimum of 5 days of parking.
  • Short trip with an early departure: Standard (P1/P11/P12). You walk 5-15 minutes and don't depend on the bus.
  • Convenience or business travel: Direct (P4/P6/P7B/P8), a few minutes' walk from check-in.
  • Pickups and drop-offs: use the short-stay parking next to the terminal instead of the long-stay car parks. Most expensive per hour, but cheapest for a half-hour errand.

How to get the cheapest parking

  1. Pre-book online. The barrier price is almost always the most expensive. Online booking gives you number plate recognition (the barrier opens by itself) and free cancellation until one hour before arrival, so booking early costs you nothing.
  2. Trade walking distance for price. Direct costs several times what Budget does on a one-week trip, and the difference is 10 extra minutes of transfer each way.
  3. Hit the Weekend product if your trip falls Thursday-Monday.
  4. Book early in holiday periods. Both individual car parks and the entire online capacity can sell out. In early July 2026, cph.dk showed "everything sold out online".
  5. Compare with private operators (e.g. Parkos and off-airport lots), but count the transfer time. A saving is expensive if the shuttle only runs every half hour.

Is CPH parking full right now?

During school holidays, long weekends, and the morning rush (around 05:00-08:00), the closest car parks fill first. Instead of driving over and hoping, see current availability by car park from P1 to P19 on our live page, and pre-book if it's tight.

Driving an EV?

There are chargers in selected car parks, including P4 and P7. Spaces are limited, so don't count on a free charger at peak times. Charge at home and treat the airport chargers as a bonus.

Don't let parking eat your buffer

Build parking into your arrival plan: know your car park, check availability, and keep an eye on the security wait time so the time you saved at the barrier isn't lost in the queue. Not sure when to leave home? Read how early to arrive at CPH.
